St. Albans City School has an array of fruit and vegetable production on campus. The school offers growing and harvesting experiences of blueberries, raspberries, apples, pears, vegetable market garden and themed learning community gardens. Students and staff are afforded project based learning mediums within the gardens. From produce served in the cafeteria to vegetables made into tasty dishes in the Family Consumer Science classroom, the gardens are a plethora of opportunities and experiences. Many connections are made as students learn how to grow, harvest and prepare a bounty of fruits and vegetables.
