URBAN FORESTIn 2013 our school rehabilitated a strip of land between our primary parking lot and adjoining neighbors. The trees and underbrush were an eyesore and a hazard to neighboring properties.
We researched native trees to replant the area and had the land cleared. Three of our older students, a staff member and an expert parent volunteer helped us plant the trees. Now four years later the trees are thriving and our property is healthier with the addition of this "urban-forest." |
Note from the summer of 2019: All the trees are thriving.
